In between, but not bad

Certain parts had annoying draw backs, but the majority of it had very good texture and great little tunes. It also gave the impression of the space-like atmosphere, which matched your title nicely.

All in all, I enjoyed it very much. The beat stayed steady, it was easy on the ears, and the rhythm was addicting. The only poor parts were the high pitched "screams" that seemed to look for a key to stop on. At these points, the sound was somewhat stopped and restarted in my opinion. You want it to keep flowing throughout the entire song.

But despite those parts, you did a nice job on this one. I liked it a lot.
Then again, there's hardly anything I don't like by you.

Yeah, I know what you mean. When I finished this, I wasn't 100% happy with it, but I didn't know what to change or where to go, so I left it.
Thanks man. ;D

Awesome.

So simple, yet so good. The speed of it goes well with everything else occurring around it. The extremely quick notes towards the end were superb, and mixed well with the whip-like beat in the background. It kinda reminded me of a sonic game for some reason.

Every sound in this one was very appealing to the ears and had their own uniqueness. I also liked the wave of sound that went in and out at certain parts of the song. I can tell you worked hard on it :D

This song pumped me up and is really fun to listen to. AND HERE'S THE HIGHLIGHT OF MY REVIEW: You did a great job with this one because you took the beat from your last piece and put your original and previous tunes on top of the repetitive beat. And the repetitive beat blended so well with everything else going on that it didn't seem repetitive at all.

I can't think of anything bad about this one. 10/10

Happy Valentine's Day.

Thanks! I wrote it specifically for a particular game, in which the music had to be sync'ed up to certain actions. It was fun to make, and while I had certain aspects of the song I had to include, I felt like I could do a lot creatively with the loop. It's good to hear from you again. Thanks for the 10!
Many hugs. Happy V-day indeed.

Oh snap.

I loved Bukkake Udon, but didn't like Ballad of Chuck Norris. But this has ruled it out. You have tipped the fucking scales with this one!

Toucccchhhh uppppssss.

Alright. You progressed backwards a bit.

Now when I said you were better at techno, I meant you were good at original techno. With this song, you seemed to use a very basic and common beat. It feels....so......unlike you.

Until 2:52, the song is extremely repetitive. The bland, dun dun chick dun da dun chick chick beat rattles on for a while. You want to stay away from stupid stuff like that.

From 3:00 to 4:00, the beat went away to a more HEAVEN-LIKE tune. Unfortunately, it didn't last long, but rather slipped its way back into the generic pattern.

Same with 5:00 to 6:00, only that was a bit better. I loved those notes ^.^

I thought the repetitiveness got in the way of the song. It made it boring compared to the nice, ringing tone of the background sound waves.

So what I'm saying is, get rid of the blobby drum beat, clear up the tune, add some better sounds, and increase the HEAVEN-LIKE part more.

I usually don't write mean reviews like this, but this is the first piece I haven't liked so far. You can make better.

Sorry, had to do it.

:)

WritersBlock responds:

Yeah, I was going for a more generic sound here and, unfortunately, it's not so masterful yet. I think a bit of practice on this style and it'll sound better, I do like to exxperiment around a bit, but I think because it's not as original as some of my other stuff, the flaws stand out a lot more.

Thanks for being honest, it did me good to read your review. :)

Too good!

I simply cannot find a single flaw in this. Every note and beat mix greatly together, which is what a lot of artists lack. As far as techno goes, this is of a very high quality. Nothing got repetitive, and I kept listening to it until I realized it played twice! :D

I am very positive this is your best piece yet. The speed, the rhythm, the quality, and the structure are completely flawless.

Well so far, I believe you have a knack for very unique music. I.e. Techno, ambience, etc.

You have now been accepted as one of my favorite audio artists, and I will from now on review every song you release.

Congratulations. You have a gift.

^_^

WritersBlock responds:

Thank you very much. I like to experiment and test things out my own way, so when something slots together well like this, it does have more of an original sound to it.

I hope I can keep up to your expectations in the future. :3

Pleasant, but can be improved.

I enjoy the soft and delicate nature of this piece, but it should be longer, and a little bit more organized. Some of the notes are rushed, but you back them up with a firm pace in the background. It has its uniqueness, and reflects a lot about you that it was made in two minutes. All in all, I enjoy it, but there is work to be done.

WritersBlock responds:

I played around a lot with the rhythm here, way too much rubato, and on the whole, I think it was a little too slow. But it was fun just playing from the soul, even if it was just meaningless fun.

Thanks for the review. ;D

Simple turns a new side

The way you placed every note made the song just simply perfect. The relaxing, empty sound did wonders on the imagination, and just listening to it made a story in my mind. This piece is very well crafted, and should be known better. I look forward to your music :]

WritersBlock responds:

Hey,
Thanks for the positive review and for the support. It's a real good motivator to hear things like this.
Thanks. :D

Excellent!

I love how all the tones blend so well with each other. You did a great job on this. Btw, did you actually play all the parts or did you use a program to make the sounds? Either way, it's very catchy. And yeah the title fits :D

Psychopath responds:

Nope, I used Mixcraft for music clips. Thanks anyway's!

Excellent!!

Totally awesome style of music and i kinda thought of it as the cave levels of Super Mario Bros. redone in a rock way. Totally on my Ipod.

Liau responds:

Thank you!
